So yeah, it irritated me when the game presented me with the fact that certain enemies cannot be killed effectively without guns that I didn’t know I needed. The mission clearly says recommended level 11 with no reference to there being robots, and being level 14 I assumed I wouldn’t need to change anything about my gear in order to be able to beat it. I’m aware that games can be challenging, the reason I complain is because it was misleading and a waste of my time to send me there if I couldn’t realistically win it without better gear. It really is a great game and nothing is perfect haha! All so that players get to explore the various weapons and perks as they unlock, and experience all the types of combat the game has to offer.Īnyways, glad you ultimately achieved victory and hope you enjoy the rest of the game. It's almost like a Turn based combat game, but with real time combat. But at its core it really is a great game with a lot of strategies to think up. This game is surely guilty of that and some minor solo mode bugs, but game breaking coop bugs. Sometimes games do a bad job of explaining things and you sort of have to figure out a few things on your own. I'm not trying to be a dick in my post, and I totally get being frustrated with a hard part in a game, but the point of video games should be to challenge you with every aspect of the game that you should have learned up to that point. God forbid it's not all just interactive cut scenes and button mashing lol! Then everyone would bitch that it was too easy. It sounds like the video game challenged you. You backtracked and found the weapon for the job that probably does more of the types of damage you need to kill that specific boss/enemies.
I don't understand all the complaint posts about the game and how it's BS or a glitch, when in reality it is a game with a lot of weapons and upgrades to learn about and work to aquire to progress.
THE ASCENT MEGARACHNID UPGRADE
Again, there are zero hints as to how important this rifle is and I bet no one will think of going back to Cluster 13 immediately to upgrade the weapon without knowing there is a boss fight shortly after that requires the use of a good energy weapon.
There is also an energy assault rifle that may drop from bots, who show up right before the boss fight. Many players will simply ignore it, not to mention upgrade it. There are simply zero hints as to how important the pistol is later in the game. And 99% of the enemies before this boss is organic. The problem is, before the boss fight, the only energy weapon available in the shop is an energy pistol. Megarachnid is the first robotic boss, and the player is supposed to use an energy weapon against it because it deals bonus damage against robotic enemies while ballistic deal reduced damage against them.
